In 1905 he engaged in looking after his own real estate interests. His office was also located at the Rookery at 209 S. LaSalle Street, Chicago. He was a member of the Republican party. Nathan and his family lived at 199 Vine Avenue at Highland Park, Illinois.
Nathan married Marcia Hempstead daughter of Charles Will Hempstead on 19 Dec 1893. Marcia was born on 25 Dec 1873. She died on 14 Oct 1969.
