103. Andrew Courtney Campbell (Benjamin Herdon , William , Whitaker ) was born on 5 Mar 1848 in Galena, Jo Daviess, Illinois. He died after 1939.

He was known by his middle name. In 1869 he moved from Galena to Chicago. For several years he was deputy U.S. Marshall under his father. In 1880 he moved to Wyoming and engaged in the cattle business on the open range with headquarters near Sheridan. He divided his time between his widely extended business interests in the west and in Chicago. He was on the first Board of Trustees of the Illinois Club, established in 1878 for the "cultivation and promotion of literature and the fine arts, and of social intercourse." In 1905 the family moved to Kenilworth Avenue in Kenilworth, Illinois. After that, they lived at 1011 Maple Avenue, Evanston.

Andrew married Cornelia Morton daughter of George Clinton Morton and Charity Rathbun on 21 Apr 1881 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. Cornelia was born on 11 Jan 1855 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. She died on 2 Sep 1939 in Evanston, Cook, Illinois.

Andrew Courtney Campbell [scrapbook] was born on 19 Nov 1891 in Chicago, Cook, Illinois. He died on 1 Oct 1917 in France. 

His nickname was "Coty." He attended the Moseley School in Chicago, the Horace Mann Grammar School in Winnetka, and the New Trier High School in Winnetka. He attended the Mercersberg Academy in Pennsylvania and then entered the University of Virginia. During World War I, he went to France in June 1916 and passed through the flying schools at Buc, Juvisy, Avord, Cazeaux, Pau, and Plessis-Belleville. At Juvisy he was the first American to graduate and stood highest in scholastic ability. He was assigned as a pilot to the French Lafayette Escardrille and began daily expeditions over Germany on May 30, 1917. Once his Nieuport 17 C.1 lost a wing at three thousand feet, and he was able to safely land the bi-plane. His service at the front earned him the Croix de Guerre with the gold star. He was killed in an engagement with three German airplanes on the western front north of Soissons, not far from Pargny, on October 1, 1917.

130. Hiram Barkley Campbell (Whitaker Hill , James , Whitaker ) was born on 13 Aug 1849 in near High Bridge, Garraard, Kentucky.

In 1881 he located at Mt. Ararat, near Bryantsville, Kentucky. He was a farmer and a trader, having 231 acres of grazing land in good condition. He was a class leader, and was for seventeen years recording steward in the Methodist Episcopal Church South, was fifteen years a Good Templar, and was superintendent of the Sunday school.

Hiram married Nannie D. Burnside daughter of William Burnside and Elizabeth Thomas on 13 Oct 1881. Nannie was born on 19 Apr 1856.
