1. Archibald Campbell, 8th Earl of Argyll 1638-1661 [scrapbook] ^{1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6} was born before 1607. He died on 27 May 1661 in Edinburgh, Scotland.

He was the head of the Campbells of Argyll in Scotland. He married August 6 or 7, 1626, his cousin MARGARET DOUGLAS, born in 1610, the second daughter of William Douglas and Anne Kieth. They had six children. He became the 8th Earl of Argyll on the death of his father in 1638. He was executed on May 27, 1661 at Edinburgh, Scotland.

Archibald married Margaret Douglas daughter of William Douglas and Anne Keith on 6/07 Aug 1626 in Scotland. Margaret was born in 1610. She died on 13 Mar 1677/1678.

They had the following children:
